Your details, kept safe
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Stow Nail Art collects when you visit our website or book an appointment, why we need it and what your rights are.
Who we are
Stow Nail Art, 5-6 Fountain Court, Digbeth Street, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham GL54 1BN, is responsible for your personal information. You can contact us at info@stownailart.co.uk or on 01451 601146.
What we collect
- Your contact details: your name, email address and mobile number.
- Your appointments: the date and time, the services you choose, your technician, any notes you add, and whether the appointment was completed, changed or cancelled.
- Payments: a record of what was paid in the salon. We do not store card details.
- Feedback: anything you choose to tell us after your visit.
- Marketing choice: whether you asked to receive offers and news from us.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser details, used briefly to keep the booking form secure and stop misuse.
How we use it and why
- To take, confirm and manage your booking, and to send you confirmations, reminders and updates by email and text message. We need this to provide the service you booked.
- To ask how your visit went and send aftercare advice. This is in our legitimate interest of looking after our clients.
- To send you offers and news, only if you agreed. You can change your mind at any time by contacting us.
- To keep accounting records that the law requires us to keep.
- To keep our website secure and prevent fake or abusive bookings, which is in our legitimate interest.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use a small number of trusted companies to run our salon and website, and they may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Hostinger hosts our website and booking system.
- Twilio delivers our text messages.
- Our email provider delivers booking emails.
- Google keeps our salon diary (Google Calendar), which shows your name and the services you booked to our team. Our website also uses Google Maps and Google Fonts.
Some of these companies may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. When that happens, it is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your details and appointment history while you are a client. If you have not had an appointment with us for 36 months, your details are automatically anonymised. Records of the messages we sent you are kept for 90 days. Accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use a cookie only when you open My bookings, so that you stay signed in while you manage your appointments. Google Maps on our home page may set its own cookies; please see Google’s privacy policy for details.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it;
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.
To use any of these rights, email info@stownailart.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
